About me.

I grew up in Rock Hill, South Carolina (just a little south of Charlotte, North Carolina). I've loved astronomy for my entire life, but became especially involved with the astronomy community in high school. I had the opportunity to intern at a local planetarium for a number of years, and have been an active member of the Charlotte Amateur Astronomers Club since 2023. Since then, I've developed a particularly strong interest in astrophotography. My work can be viewed on the Astrophotography section of this site.

I'm currently a Sophomore at Duke University, where I am majoring in Physics with an Astrophysics concentration. I'm additionally an undergraduate researcher with the Duke Cosmology group, and co-president of the Stargazing Devils Astronomy Club. More information about my work with these groups can be found in the Research and Outreach sections of this site respectively.

Outside of astronomy, I’m a member of the Duke Debate Team, which has been an amazing opportunity to develop public speaking skills and get to know new people and places. I'm also a tutor with Gente Aprendiendo Para Nuevas Opportunidades (GANO), a Duke student organization that provides English lessons to members of the hispanic community in Durham.
